Blogging in my Classroom

My first experience with setting up a blog came about when my husband told me that he was going to have to create one for his then EDET course last year. I became curious about what it was and therefore I explored my gmail account and started my journey on creating my own blog. I found it to be quite simple until I was asked to do more intense additions and creation to my blog. Thus far I am enjoying my experience in the world of blogging.

When I think about blogging, I think of the exchange of information between persons using technology. In my classroom I would use a blog by allowing students to post what issues they are having in a subject area example, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. In doing this I would be allowing students to peer tutor using another type of educational tool. The empowerment of students within my classroom will stimulate learning, thus allowing students to develop a like for the use of technology.

Happy Reading
