How I would use Excel Spreadsheet in my classroom

Greetings: 

There are so many ways to use word processor and excel within the classroom, however, I chose to use the excel spreadsheet as a mid-term mark sheet, to display the performance of my Grade 3 students in the four core areas, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Language Arts. It will also state the maximum and minimum grades so that I can monitor those students who are performing above average, average and below average. By doing this, I can adjust my teaching techniques to assist each child effectively. A pie chart, will also be added to the spreadsheet so that I can get an accurate reading of how the entire class is performing.

      Students can use word processing document to make a flyer that advertise a particular project. Therefore, the student will be allow to tap into his creativity as he discovers the different applications in word processor.

           I think that the use of Excel Spreadsheet within the classroom can surely be an assist to any teacher who seeks to tally grades, record attendance, record monetary contributions and the list goes on. I would recommend excel to any teacher so that their recording keeping can be easier.
